Custo Barcelona conquers Tunisia at Cartago Fashion Week

SPANISH designers Custo Barcelona proved to be a hit in Tunisia during its mulberry handbags Fashion Week, which closed last night.

This is the first public international event in the country since the ousting of Tunisian president Zin el-Abidin Ben Ali on January 14.

Custo's show in Cartago (Tunisia) was for 'solidarity' reasons, say the Dalmau brothers from Barcelona, who are backside the world-famous brand.

And Custo Dalmau, who gave the label his name, said he had always been 'fascinated' by Tunisia after going in the city on holiday, especially as it has given rise to some of the greatest names in the world of fashion, such as Azeddin Alaya.

As always, Custo Barcelona's autumn-winter collection – which was last shown in February in New York – was a frenzy of colours and mulberry bags sale patterns and highly-wearable pieces that suit wearers of all ages, male and female, from streetwear fans to the most chic and haute couture-loving fashionistas.
